Why Fast exists
Backup has been "set it and hope" for twenty years: scheduled jobs, stale snapshots, restore flows you only test on the worst day of your life. Meanwhile, a new kind of user showed up — AI agents that edit files, run tools, and occasionally wreck things at machine speed.
Fast is one answer to both: a streaming backup engine that keeps everything current and encrypted, with a checkpoint API that makes rollback a first-class operation for people and for models.
How we build
Small team, proven open source at the core, open formats so you're never locked in, and pricing you can work out on a napkin. The product should be quiet; the recovery should be perfect.
